Situated in the Southern Flint Hills of Kansas near Howard in Elk County, the Buttons Ranch is an oasis on the plains. With a 100 acre watershed lake ringed by woods over a total of 700 acres, the vistas are a beauty to behold. But that's not really why you're here, is it?

The watershed is home to lots of wildlife in the area. Deer, turkey, waterfowl and many other types of wildlife move through the area. The natural lay of the land and terrain create a unique environment for the animals.

Interesting Facts

The Buttons Ranch was settled in the 1860's. There are stone walls from the original homestead and many stone fences that were used in the original ranch.
